Who we are
GUM Church is not just a building, or an organization with lots of programs and events. At heart, GUM Church is people—people like you, doing life together with all of its ups and downs, trying to make a difference in the world.
What GUM Church people have in common is our commitment to follow Jesus Christ. To us, “following Jesus” means being like him by loving God and loving other people. Our buildings, our programs, our events—they are all about how we can love God more passionately and love people more practically.
We follow Jesus because everything about him amazes us.
So really, the best way to get to know GUM Church is to get to know our people. Visit one of our worship experiences. Sign up for a group. Come hang out at an event. Or, contact us to set up a tour and a time to meet and ask questions.
Connections
One reason United Methodists are able to accomplish great things is the church’s emphasis on “connectionalism.” It is common to hear United Methodist leaders speak of the denomination as “the connection.” This concept has been central to Methodism from its beginning.
